Peter Sagan has on Tuesday scored a hattrick in the Amgen Tour of California. The Slovak of Liquigas-Cannondale won, after winning the first two stages, also the third stage. For the third time in three stage he knocked down Heinrich Hausseler (Garmin Barracuda) in a bunch sprint.

Tom Boonen will not come to the Tour de France this year. The Belgian of Omega Pharma-QuickStep wants to prepare himself for the Olympics by participating in the Tour of Poland.

Peter Sagan has on Tuesday showed his power by also winning the second stage of the Amgen Tour of California. The Slovakian of Liquigas-Cannondale was again the strongest in a bunch sprint.

Heinrich Haussler (Garmin – Barracuda) had to acknowlegde for the second thime in a row the superiority of Sagan, who layed the foundation for his second win in the last corner which het ook amazingly fast. Leigh Howard of Orica GreenEdge Cycling Team finished third.

Joaquim Rodriguez has on Tuesday taken the power in the Giro d'Italia. The Spaniard ofKatusha won the tenth stage from Civitavecchia to Assisi and stripped Ryder Hesjedal(Garmin-Barracuda) of the pink leader's jersey.

The Pool Bartosz Huzarski Team NetApp came in two seconds behind Rodriguez. Giovanni Visconti of Movistar was right and finished behind third. Hesjedal came in six counts later as sixth.
